In 1889, Alexander Goldenweiser was admitted to the Moscow Conservatory into the class of Alexander Siloti.
Siloti later served as Goldenweiser's teacher at the Moscow Conservatory, where Goldenweiser studied with him before graduating in 1895 in the piano class of Pavel Pabst.
