Vladimir Sergeyevich Belov studied under Felix Mikhailovich Blumenfeld at the Moscow Conservatory from 1924.
After graduating from the conservatory in 1929, became his assistant in his class; following Blumenfeld’s death in January 1931, Belov brought the class through to the examinations.
