Ferdinand Zellbell the Younger was a teacher of Olof Åhlström. Zellbell was active as a teacher at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music after its foundation in 1771, and Åhlström enrolled in the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm at the age of sixteen. Åhlström is identified as perhaps Zellbell's most successful student.
