Moritz Mildner studied violin at the Prague Conservatory under Friedrich Wilhelm Pixis, a professor of violin there, and graduated in 1828 as one of the conservatory’s earliest students.
During his studies and early career, Mildner played second violin in the string quartet led by Pixis, participating in the first public quartet concerts in Prague under his teacher’s direction.
