Josef Dessauer studied piano at the Prague Conservatory under Friedrich Dionys Weber, also known as Bedřich Diviš Weber. Weber, who directed the conservatory from 1811 until his death in 1842, was one of Dessauer’s principal teachers during his early musical education in Prague.
