Fyodor Ignatyevich Stravinsky was the father of the composer Igor Stravinsky. A Russian opera singer (bass) and soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre, Fyodor was married to the pianist and singer Anna Kirillovna Kholodovskaya. Their son Igor was born on June 17, 1882, in Oranienbaum. The family lived in St. Petersburg, where their home served as a meeting place for musicians, artists, and writers, including Fyodor Dostoevsky.
