Heinrich Neuhaus was Margarita Fyodorova's teacher. After continuing her musical education in the class of E. K. Nikolayeva, she studied from the 8th class of the Central Music School in Neuhaus's class, after Nikolayeva showed her to him. She graduated from the Moscow Conservatory with honors in 1951 and then studied in postgraduate courses from 1951 to 1955 in Neuhaus's class.
