Heinrich Neuhaus was a teacher of Oleg Boshnyakovich. Boshnyakovich studied under Neuhaus at the Gnessin State Musical Pedagogical Institute from 1949 to 1953, during his postgraduate studies.
Neuhaus also referred to Oleg Boshnyakovich as his former pupil and wrote that he valued him very highly as a pianist and musician.
