During his tenure as concertmaster in Dresden from 1626 to 1629, Carlo Farina worked closely with Heinrich Schütz, who served as Kapellmeister at the Saxon court. In this period Schütz not only collaborated with Farina but also played an influential pedagogical role, and sources explicitly list Carlo Farina among Schütz’s pupils. Schütz’s guidance, particularly his interest in nurturing Farina’s development as a composer, contributed to Farina’s artistic growth.
