Miska Hauser studied violin under Joseph Böhm and Joseph Mayseder at the Vienna Conservatory, completing his studies in 1839. Böhm was a founding professor there and taught from 1819 to 1848. This mentorship placed Hauser within the influential Viennese violin school, which Böhm helped establish.
The relationship between teacher and student connected Hauser to Böhm’s distinguished lineage, as Böhm was himself a student of Pierre Rode and an important performer of works by Beethoven and Schubert. Through his studies with Böhm, Hauser received rigorous technical and musical training that shaped his later career as a virtuoso violinist and composer.
