Konstanty Antoni Gorski studied violin under the renowned Hungarian-Russian violinist and pedagogue Leopold Auer while attending the Saint Petersburg Conservatory, which he completed in 1881. Auer, a leading professor and founder of the Russian violin school, served as Gorski’s primary violin teacher and played a formative role in shaping his virtuoso technique.

This student–teacher relationship placed Gorski among Auer’s distinguished pupils, a group that included many future masters of the violin. The training Gorski received under Auer contributed significantly to his emergence as a respected violinist, composer, and educator in both the Russian Empire and later Poland.
