Heinrich Neuhaus studied under Leopold Godowsky in Berlin. From 1909 until the beginning of World War I, Neuhaus continued his training with Godowsky at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, where Godowsky served as the head of the Master School of the Imperial Academy of Music.
