Bernardo Pasquini studied under Loreto Vittori in 1650, during his early musical formation in Tuscany. Vittori, a prominent Italian castrato and composer active in Rome, served as one of Pasquini’s teachers at the beginning of Pasquini’s career, contributing to the young musician’s artistic development before Pasquini later moved to Rome and established himself as an organist and composer.
