Mikhail Levandovsky studied under Nataliya Goretskaya at the I. P. Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts. From 2005 to 2010, he was a student in the class of Goretskaya, a professor and Honored Artist of Ukraine, where he received a master's degree. He continued his education under her supervision from 2010 to 2013 in an assistantship-internship program at the Department of Special Piano. Goretskaya lists Levandovsky as one of the graduates she prepared who became a scholarship holder of the President of Ukraine.
