Alexander Goldenweiser graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1895 in the piano class of Pavel Pabst (having previously studied under Alexander Siloti).
Pavel Pabst taught at the Moscow Conservatory until his death, and Alexander Goldenweiser is listed among his students.
