Sofia Maykapar was Samuil Maykapar’s first wife. From 1905 to 1914, they toured together in Germany, Austria, and France; their German concerts included performances in Berlin, Cologne, Erfurt, Frankfurt am Main, and Koblenz. From early 1911, violinist and St. Petersburg Conservatory professor I. Nalbandian joined their concert activities.
