Vera Gornostayeva was one of Irina Chukovskaya's teachers. From the age of 12, Chukovskaya studied at the Central Music School attached to the Moscow Conservatory in Professor Vera Gornostayeva's class, and from 1976 to 1981 she studied at the Moscow State Conservatory in the classes of Professors Stanislav Neuhaus and Vera Gornostayeva.
