Tomasz Napoleon Nidecki received his early musical training in Warsaw, where he studied organ under Václav Vilém (Wilhelm) Würfel. This period of instruction took place during Nidecki’s formative years before 1824, when Würfel was serving as a professor at the Warsaw Conservatory. Würfel, already an established Czech composer, pianist, organist, and conductor, provided Nidecki with foundational musical guidance that contributed to the young musician’s development prior to his later formal studies in composition.
