Alexander Anatolyevich Naumenko is a Soviet and Russian opera singer, a bass, and a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre of the Russian Federation. He was born on February 11, 1956, in Vorozhba, Sumy Oblast.

In 1985 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, where he studied in the class of G. I. Tits. In 1988 he completed an assistant traineeship under the supervision of N. L. Dorliak.

In 1984–1985 he was a trainee at the Bolshoi Theatre. From 1985 he was a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic, and from 1990 he became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre. He also performs as a concert singer.

Naumenko teaches at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, where he is an associate professor and head of the department of solo singing.

Among his distinctions, he received the prize "For Artistry" at the All-Union M. I. Glinka Vocalists Competition in 1984. In 1985 he became a laureate of the International Vocal Competition in 's-Hertogenbosch, winning first prize and the Elly Ameling Prize for best performance of chamber music. He was named Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 2001 and People's Artist of the Russian Federation in 2008.
