Alexei Suchkov is a Russian pianist, a prize-winner of 80 awards, including 43 first prizes, at national, European, and international competitions in the USSR, Germany, France, Italy, and the United States. In 2001 he received the Grand Prix at the 34th National Piano Performance Competition Coppa Pianisti d'Italia in Osimo, and in 2017 he was awarded the Silver Medal of the Prime Minister of Italy for outstanding artistic merits.

He was born in Moscow. Suchkov studied at the Central Music School attached to the Moscow Conservatory in the class of A. A. Bakulov. In 1986 he entered the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with the People's Artist of the USSR Evgeny Malinin, an assistant of Heinrich Neuhaus. He graduated from the conservatory with honors and then continued for two years in postgraduate study at the Moscow Conservatory.

As a concert pianist, Suchkov has performed widely in Russia and abroad. The article lists appearances in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Berlin, Paris, Miami, and many Italian cities including Rome, Milan, Turin, Palermo, Florence, Perugia, Taranto, Brindisi, Piacenza, and many others. He also performed in Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Spain, England, Austria, and Chile.

Suchkov has also served on the juries of international piano competitions in Marsala and acted as president of the jury in Palermo and Castellaneta in Italy. In 2001 he received a diploma from the Quinta 2 school of piano tuners and grand piano technicians in Moscow Region. As a piano tuner he worked in Italy, France, Germany, Austria, and Russia.

On 19 May 2011, Alexei Suchkov, as president, together with his son, the pianist Ivan Suchkov, as artistic director, founded the Italian artistic association Suchkov & Suchkov in Sassuolo.
