Benjamin Mordkovich (19 January 1906 – 2000) was a Ukrainian Soviet violinist and music teacher. He was born in Odesa, Kherson Governorate, Russian Empire, and died in Odesa, Ukraine.
Mordkovich was a pupil and successor of Pyotr Stolyarsky. Having been orphaned, he lived in Stolyarsky's home from 1915 to 1920. Before the Second World War, he performed in Odesa as a soloist and led the string quartet of the Music and Drama Institute.
After returning to Odesa from evacuation in 1944, Mordkovich devoted himself primarily to teaching. He taught at the Odesa Conservatory, becoming a professor in 1972, and also taught at the Stolyarsky Music School.
His notable pupils included Eduard Grach, Olga Kaverzneva, Rosa Fine, Valery Klimov, Semyon Snitkovsky, and Dora Schwarzberg. His son Leonid Mordkovich, later also a professor at the Odesa Conservatory, and Leonid's wife Lydia Mordkovich were among his students as well.
