Boris Olegovich Spassky, born on 29 March 1971 in Moscow, is a Russian pianist. He graduated from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, where he studied with Oleg Boshnyakovich.

Since 1997 he has been a soloist of the Moscow Concert Philharmonic Association. He performs regularly in numerous solo programs and gives particular preference to music of the Romantic era. Critical recognition has been especially associated with his interpretations of the music of Frédéric Chopin.

As an ensemble musician, Spassky has appeared with the Tchaikovsky Quartet and the Dominant Quartet in Russia, the Casorati Quartett in Italy, and the Aura Quartett in Switzerland. He has also accompanied the singer Lina Mkrtchyan.

He has performed with the State Radio and Television Orchestra of Russia, the Symphony Orchestra of the Russian Academy of Music, the Ulyanovsk State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgorod State Philharmonic Orchestra, and other ensembles. He has taken part in festivals including Radio Orpheus Presents in Russia, Schubertiade in Switzerland, Sarajevo Winter in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Musiksommer am Zürichsee in Switzerland, Vendsyssel Festival in Denmark, Langenargener Sommerfestival in Germany, Nyborg Slotskoncerter in Denmark, Les Sommets du classique in Switzerland, Christopher Summer Festival in Lithuania, Klavierissimo in Switzerland, and the Sochi 2010 Winter International Music Festival under the direction of Yuri Bashmet.

Spassky has recorded Tchaikovsky's The Seasons and two albums of works by Chopin. One of these albums includes the Ballades and Scherzos, while the other contains the Nocturnes, Fantaisie-Impromptu, Barcarolle, and Berceuse. One critic wrote that Spassky possesses mastery and a strong individuality, while remaining free of any showmanship at the piano; behind an outward detachment, a remarkable force arises unpredictably.
