Daphne Maria Keune is a Dutch pianist and piano teacher, born in Amsterdam in 1971.
She began piano lessons at the age of seven with Marcel Joosen and continued her studies six years later with Roelof van Reenen. In 1986 she took part in the national selection of the Young Musical Talent Foundation of the Netherlands and was selected for its International Symposium. From 1987 she studied with Jan Wijn and Marcel Baudet at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. After completing her conservatory studies, she studied for a further two years with Danièle Dechenne.
Keune was a member of the Rondane Quartet, which specialised in performing compositions for multiple keyboard instruments by Simeon ten Holt, Joep Franssens and Johann Sebastian Bach. She also gives solo recitals, accompanies song recitals and maintains a private teaching practice.
With the Rondane Quartet, Keune recorded Simeon ten Holt's full-length compositions Canto Ostinato, Horizon, Lemniscate, Incantation IV and Meanders on CD. She appeared as herself in Over Canto and provided piano playing and coaching for the eighth-season episode “Speelman” of One Night Stand, serving as the hand double for Elsie de Brauw.
