Dick Klomp
Dick Klomp is a Dutch organist, carillonneur and composer, born in 1947 in Dedemsvaart. His instruments are the organ and carillon, and his work has focused particularly on Baroque music and the music of Bach.
In 1964, Klomp began training as an organ builder. He then studied organ at the Amsterdam Conservatory with Simon C. Jansen and took piano lessons with Debora Land and Jan Wijn; his conservatory studies ran from 1966 to 1973. He also attended masterclasses and studied improvisation with Piet Kee and French Baroque music with René Saorgin in Haarlem. He subsequently specialized in Bach and Italian organ composers.
Klomp was appointed organist of the Church of the Resurrection in Amsterdam-West in 1967, and later became organist of the Mennonite Singel Church. From 1973 to 1990 he also conducted its youth choir. In 1973 he became organist of the auditorium at Westgaarde Cemetery and Crematorium, a post he held until 2008. He has given organ recitals and toured in North America and Sweden, where radio recordings were also made, and has released CDs of music for organ and trumpet. He is carillonneur of the carillons at the Tower of Our Lady in Amersfoort and the Lichtboog Tower in Almere.

The Herald Angels Sing, Rhapsody in 6 Beaufort, Song for Organ, In Sinkel's Shop, Mr Ricken's Baritone, Good Counsel Suite, Solemn March, and Behold! Emmanuel Is Born!
