Lolitta Semenina is a Soviet and Russian opera singer and soprano. Born in 1964 in Moscow, she was a soloist in the Central Television and Radio Large Children's Choir during her school years.
She graduated from the Gnessin Music College in 1987 and from the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music in 1994. From 1987 to 2000, she was a soloist with the Moscow Chamber Choir under Vladimir Minin. In 1995, she received third prize at the Mikhail Glinka All-Union Vocalists' Competition, and in 1998 she won second prize at the Giovanni Battista Viotti International Singing Competition in Vercelli, Italy. That same year, she was named Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
From 2000 to 2015, Semenina was a soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre opera company. Her Bolshoi repertoire included Iolanta in Tchaikovsky's Iolanta, Tatyana in Eugene Onegin, Maria in Mazepa, Agnès Sorel in The Maid of Orleans, Liù in Puccini's Turandot, Mimì and Musetta in La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Anna in Verdi's Nabucco, Alice Ford in Falstaff, Desdemona in Otello, Micaëla in Bizet's Carmen, Marfa in Rimsky-Korsakov's The Tsar's Bride, Marcellina in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, and Tamara in Rubinstein's The Demon.
Her other appearances included the Young Woman in Montemezzi's The Love of Three Kings and Athena in Taneyev's Oresteia. She also performed soprano parts in Mozart's Requiem, Vivaldi's Gloria, and Beethoven's Mass in C major. In 2012, she was named People's Artist of the Russian Federation. Since 2015, she has worked as a private vocal tutor.
