Nino Gvetadze is a Georgian pianist. Born in Tbilisi on 14 October 1981, she became artistic director of the Delft Chamber Music Festival in 2021.
Gvetadze grew up in Tbilisi and appeared as a soloist with orchestras from the age of six. From 1998 she studied at the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, then continued her training in the Netherlands at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Her teachers included Veronika Tumanishvili, Nodar Gabunia, Nana Chubutia, Paul Komen and Jan Wijn.
In 2008, she received second prize, the audience prize and the press prize at the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition. She won the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award for young musicians in 2010.
Gvetadze has performed with the Residentie Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Amsterdam Sinfonietta, Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Munich Philharmonic. She was artist in residence at the Edesche Concert Hall during the 2017–2018 season.
Her recordings include albums devoted to Mussorgsky, Franz Liszt and Debussy, as well as Chopin's Preludes, Op. 28, released as Ghosts. She also recorded Rachmaninoff's complete solo piano works and Carl Maria von Weber's six violin sonatas with violinist Frederieke Saeijs.
