Petras Geniušas is a Lithuanian pianist and music teacher, born on February 6, 1961, in Vilnius. He is the son of Rimas Geniušas and the brother of Julius Geniušas. In 1992 he received the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts.

He studied at the Vilnius Conservatory with Jurgis Karnavičius, and in 1985 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Vera Gornostayeva.

Geniušas married Gornostayeva's daughter, the pianist Ksenia Knorre. Their son, Lukas Geniušas, born on July 1, 1990, also became a pianist and was awarded second prize at the 16th International Chopin Piano Competition in 2010.

Since 1990 he has taught at the Vilnius Conservatory, and since 1999 he has been a professor. From 1996 to 1998 he also taught at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

Among his honors are the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, awarded in 1992, and the Order of the Grand Duke of Lithuania Gediminas, awarded in 2015.
