Philipp Kopachevsky is a Russian pianist, born in Moscow on February 22, 1990. He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in 2008, where he studied with Kira Shashkina. In 2013, he graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, where he studied with Professor Sergei Dorensky, and began postgraduate studies there with Dorensky.

Kopachevsky is a soloist with the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic and took part in its Stars of the 21st Century program. He has received awards at eight international competitions. These include first prizes at the Le Muse competition in Italy, the competition in Enschede, and the 2006 Vera Lothar-Shevchenko International Competition; third prize at the Volodymyr Krainev competition; and third prize and a special award at the 2005 Schubert International Piano Competition. At the 2006 José Iturbi International Piano Competition, he received a diploma and the Yamaha special prize.

He has performed with the English Chamber Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra, the Moscow New Opera Theatre Symphony Orchestra, the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra, the Russian National Orchestra, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra, the New Russia State Symphony Orchestra, the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, and the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra. His collaborators have included conductors Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Spivakov, Mikhail Pletnev, Yevgeny Kolobov, Yuri Simonov, Alexander Dmitriev, Andrew Gourlay, William Noll, Bjarte Engeset, Charles Olivieri-Munroe, Yevgeny Bushkov, Maxim Vengerov, and Paul Watkins.

Kopachevsky regularly gives concerts in the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, the Netherlands, France, Italy, Greece, Poland, Spain, and cities across Russia. He has built a following in Japan, where he recorded an album of Chopin's piano works at the request of NHK. He has appeared at festivals including the Sakharov Festival in Nizhny Novgorod, the Vera Lothar-Shevchenko Memorial Festival in Novosibirsk, the Steinway Festival, the Miami Piano Festival, Arts Naples World Festival, the Colmar International Festival, the Mstislav Rostropovich Memorial Festival in Baku, Baltic Seasons, Vladimir Spivakov Invites, Stars on Baikal, Crescendo, and Denis Matsuev Invites. He also took part in the Russian premiere of Without, a ballet choreographed by Benjamin Millepied, at the Mariinsky Theatre.
