Samuil Furer was a Soviet violinist. He was born on 22 March 1909 in Odessa and died on 20 June 1979 in Sochi. He was a graduate of the music school of Pyotr Stolyarsky and was awarded the title Honored Artist of the RSFSR in 1969.

In 1919, as a pupil of Pyotr Stolyarsky, Furer gave his first concert. In 1924, at the age of fifteen, he became a student of Lev Tseitlin, a professor at the Moscow Conservatory.

In 1928, Furer became a soloist of the Moscow Philharmonic. In 1933, at the First All-Union Competition of Performing Musicians, he became a prize-winner and received the third prize. He also toured with concerts in European countries.

Furer died in Sochi in 1979. He was buried in Moscow at Kuntsevo Cemetery.
