Boston School of American Composers

A late 19th- and early 20th-century American composer circle centered in Boston, associated with academically trained composers such as Horatio Parker, John Knowles Paine, George Chadwick, Arthur Foote, Edward MacDowell, and Amy Beach; it is closely related to the labels Boston Six and Second New England School.
