Alexander Ryvkin (12 March 1893 – 17 February 1951) was a Soviet violist and music teacher.
He graduated from the Petrograd Conservatory in 1917, where he studied violin with Eduard Kruger. In 1919, he was among the founders of the Glazunov Quartet, in which he played the viola for more than two decades.
From 1931, Ryvkin taught at the Leningrad Conservatory, his alma mater, and headed its string-quartet class. On 16 May 1924 in Leningrad, he took part in the first performance of Sergei Prokofiev's Overture on Hebrew Themes with the Glazunov Quartet, clarinetist Pyotr Vantrobа, and pianist Alexander Kamensky.
He was named an Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic in 1940.
