Saint Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov State Conservatory
The first higher music education institution in Russia, officially opened in 1862 in Saint Petersburg. The conservatory trains professional musicians, composers, conductors, vocalists, musicologists, and performers, and is historically associated with major figures of Russian classical music, including Anton Rubinstein, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
