Vsevolod Vorobyov was a Soviet and Ukrainian teacher, pianist, and professor at the National Music Academy of Ukraine.
He was born on October 22, 1925, in Ganja, Azerbaijan. He studied at the Tbilisi Conservatory in the class of Valentina Steshenko-Kuftina.
From 1953, he worked at the Department of Special Piano of the Tchaikovsky Kyiv Conservatory, where his entire professional life was spent. He was associated with the National Music Academy of Ukraine as a professor and became an important pedagogue in the field of piano.
Among his best-known graduates were the pianists and international competition laureates Dmytro Sukhoviienko, Andriy Kutasevych, Dmytro Tavanets, Olha Anishchenko, Oleksandr Kozarenko, Oksana Yaremchuk, Anastasiia Seifetdinova, Kyrylo Blazhkov, and Olena Stepaniuk. His students also included the well-known teachers Nataliia Hrydnieva, Iryna Zalevska, Iryna Okunieva, Nina Naidych, and Larysa Raiko.
Among his close friends were the outstanding pianists Sviatoslav Richter, Dmitry Bashkirov, Tatiana Nikolayeva, and Volodymyr Nielsen.
Vorobyov died on June 23, 2010, in Kyiv. He was buried at Lukianivske Cemetery.
